Proton has announced that the 2026 Proton S70 has begun arriving at authorised 3S/4S showrooms nationwide. Bookings were officially opened on 7 February 2026, giving Malaysians an exclusive early look at the next evolution of this popular sedan ahead of its official launch.
Since its debut, the Proton S70 has enjoyed strong market acceptance, with over 38,000 units sold. The model appeals to both first-time car buyers and replacement car owners, with particular popularity among younger drivers.
According to Proton, the 2026 Proton S70 embodies Proton’s philosophy of “Intelligence that Evolves,” offering upgrades in performance, styling, and intelligent safety features. The new S70 promises enhanced driving dynamics, improved fuel efficiency, and a safer, more confident ride.

Powering the new S70 is the new turbocharged i-GT 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine paired with a 7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT). Producing 181PS and 290Nm of torque, it accelerates from 0–100km/h in just 7.5 seconds, while maintaining a fuel efficiency of 5.7L/100km. The refined powertrain ensures smoother gear shifts and a responsive driving experience without compromising everyday usability.
