Chinese electric vehicle (EV) maker Leapmotor made a bold statement at the 2025 Shanghai International Auto Show, showcasing its entire product lineup and unveiling the all-new B01 sedan as a global premiere.

Marking a significant leap from its modest 2019 debut, the company now commands a booth exceeding 1,000 square metres and is celebrating the milestone of nearly 300,000 vehicle deliveries in 2024—double its previous year’s total.

At the centre of attention was the B10, the first model in the new B-Series aimed at global markets. Designed on Leapmotor’s advanced LEAP 3.5 technology platform, the B10 C-SUV attracted over 31,000 orders within 48 hours of its pre-sale launch.

Promising up to 600 km of electric range, premium in-car tech, and advanced safety features, the B10 sets a new standard in its class. The B-Series will expand with two more models, B01 and B05, by the end of 2025.

Leapmotor’s proprietary LEAP 3.5 platform integrates cockpit and driving systems with a central control architecture, supporting over-the-air software upgrades, a 7-in-1 oil-cooled electric drive, and cutting-edge battery and thermal management systems.

Founded in 2015, Leapmotor has rapidly grown into a major player in China’s EV industry. In 2024, the company recorded a revenue of ¥32.16 billion (~$4.4 billion USD), with 293,724 units delivered. March 2025 alone saw deliveries soar over 154% year-on-year, making Leapmotor the fastest-growing “new force” EV brand in China.

Internationally, Leapmotor has partnered with Stellantis in a €1.5 billion deal that led to the formation of Leapmotor International, headquartered in Amsterdam. This joint venture has already expanded to 23 global markets and over 550 service points, aiming for 700 by 2026. The B-Series is slated for global rollout starting mid-2025, with the B10 debuting in Europe in Q4.

Meanwhile, existing models like the T03 and C10 are gaining traction overseas. The T03 was named Europe’s “range-cost efficiency champion” in 2025, while the C10 has won several prestigious international design awards.
