Kia Sales Malaysia Sdn Bhd (KSM) has placed aggressive price reductions at the heart of its strategy to rebuild brand trust and regain market confidence in Malaysia.
With the establishment of Kia’s new standalone National Sales Company, the brand has moved quickly to realign pricing across its existing product portfolio, delivering substantial savings to buyers effective 1 January 2026.
The most dramatic adjustment applies to the Kia Carnival, which has been repositioned significantly within the MPV segment. Prices for the large MPV have been reduced by more than RM40,000 to over RM50,000 compared to previous levels.

The Kia Carnival 2.2D 8-seater is now priced at RM193,000, down from RM245,888, representing a reduction of approximately RM52,900. Meanwhile, the 7-seater variant now retails at RM218,000, lowered from RM259,888 — a saving of around RM41,900. This sharp correction places the Carnival in a far stronger value position for family and business buyers alike.
The Kia Sportage has also received notable price reductions across its range. The entry-level Sportage 2.0G 2WD now starts from RM128,800, down from RM147,218 previously — a reduction of about RM18,400.
Other variants in the lineup have seen price drops ranging from roughly RM15,000 to RM18,000, while even the range-topping turbocharged AWD version benefits from a meaningful adjustment. Collectively, the revised pricing makes the Sportage considerably more competitive in Malaysia’s crowded SUV segment.
According to KSM, the pricing overhaul reflects a commitment to “right-pricing” its vehicles based on local market expectations, offering appropriate specifications and features at more accessible price points. The move also serves as a clear signal of Kia’s long-term commitment to Malaysia under its new operational structure.
Beyond lower purchase prices, Kia continues to back its vehicles with a five-year or 150,000 km warranty, in line with global standards. Ownership costs are further reduced through an average 15 percent price cut on genuine Kia spare parts.

After-sales support is strengthened by a dedicated parts warehouse in Shah Alam, aimed at improving parts availability and reducing service turnaround times nationwide.
To reward existing customers, KSM has introduced the Kia Circle loyalty programme, offering cash rebates of up to RM6,000 for current Kia owners upgrading to a new vehicle, with benefits extendable to immediate family members.
Corporate and professional buyers will also benefit from the upcoming Kia Professional programme, which provides exclusive concessions for eligible individuals and fleet customers. Complementing these initiatives is Kia Cares, a branded insurance programme offering comprehensive coverage with flexible add-on options.
With revised pricing now in place, Kia Sales Malaysia is inviting both new and existing customers to experience the refreshed lineup — including the Sportage, Carnival and EV9 — at authorised Kia showrooms nationwide from 8 January 2026.
