Local assembly of the Chery TIGGO CROSS has commenced at the Inokom assembly plant in Kulim, Kedah, following its official launch in Malaysia on 9 July. The model is available in two variants – a 1.5L Turbo and a 1.5L Hybrid CSH.
Chery Malaysia Vice President Michael Chew said the TIGGO CROSS is the brand’s most affordable SUV and is aimed at younger buyers seeking fuel efficiency, technology, and modern design. “We are proud to assemble it in Malaysia, leveraging local capabilities to deliver global quality,” he said.

Sui Keng Huat, Managing Director of Inokom Corporation Sdn Bhd, added, “This marks another step in our ongoing partnership with Chery. We are committed to maintaining high quality and production standards.”
The TIGGO CROSS Hybrid variant features Chery’s Super Hybrid (CSH) system, combining plug-in hybrid (PHEV) and hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) technologies. It is capable of delivering up to 1,000km of driving range on a full tank and charge.
Chery says the model’s local assembly reflects its commitment to localisation and long-term plans in Malaysia.

Globally, the TIGGO CROSS has contributed significantly to Chery’s international growth. In March 2025, the brand celebrated the export of one million TIGGO CROSS units from Dalian Port, China.
Prices for the TIGGO CROSS start at RM88,800 (West Malaysia) for the 1.5 Turbo, and RM99,800 (West Malaysia) for the Hybrid CSH. The Turbo variant is available in Carbon Black, Phantom Grey, Khaki White, and Blood Stone Red. The Hybrid CSH variant is offered in Carbon Black, Phantom Grey, Khaki White, and Moonlight Silver.
