BYD Sime Motors, in partnership with Wing Hin Ventures Sdn Bhd, has officially opened the largest BYD 3S (Sales, Service, and Spare Parts) Centre in Malaysia. Located in Balakong, the state-of-the-art facility highlights BYD’s rapid retail expansion and long-term commitment to providing premium customer experiences.
Spanning a total area of 3,360 square metres across three levels, the new Balakong centre sets a new standard for BYD facilities in Malaysia. The building features two full showroom floors, a dedicated office space, and a sprawling 1,514㎡ after-sales area. With 10 service bays on site, the centre is well-equipped to meet growing demand for EV servicing and maintenance.
This large-scale investment underscores BYD’s focus on ensuring customers receive not just innovative products, but also reliable after-sales support. By centralising sales, servicing, and spare parts under one roof, the Balakong 3S centre offers a comprehensive ownership experience.
The opening of the Balakong facility increases BYD’s retail presence to 36 outlets nationwide, a number that continues to grow in line with rising EV adoption in Malaysia. This rapid expansion ensures that more customers across the country have convenient access to BYD’s products and services.
Jeffrey Gan, Managing Director of Sime Motors Southeast Asia, emphasised the importance of after-sales support in driving EV adoption.
“Our goal is to deliver not only world-class vehicles but also world-class service. The Balakong 3S centre demonstrates this commitment by offering a premium and complete experience for customers,” he said.
The launch of the Balakong 3S Centre coincides with the debut of the New BYD Seal, one of Malaysia’s most popular EV sedans. The new facility is expected to play a crucial role in supporting Seal owners with professional maintenance, quick access to spare parts, and a comfortable environment for vehicle servicing.
With BYD also announcing its upcoming CKD plant in Tanjung Malim, more locally assembled models are expected to enter the market in the coming years. The Balakong 3S Centre positions itself as a key hub for future customer engagement and servicing needs.
