Seven-day overseas programme gives Malaysian and Singaporean operators first-hand exposure to MAN’s engineering, manufacturing quality and latest bus technologies.

MAN Malaysia has brought a delegation of leading express bus operators from Malaysia and Singapore on a seven-day visit to its facilities in Germany and Türkiye, offering customers a closer look at the engineering and manufacturing processes behind its premium bus and coach solutions.

The programme included visits to MAN’s headquarters in Munich, its manufacturing facility in Nuremberg and its modern bus and coach production plant in Ankara, Türkiye.

Through factory tours, technical presentations and direct engagement with MAN’s management and engineering teams, the delegation gained insights into the company’s manufacturing standards, product development and future mobility technologies.

Key areas explored included safety systems for drivers, passengers and pedestrians, digital connectivity, fleet management solutions, battery-electric bus technology and emerging mobility concepts.

For operators who have already invested in MAN coaches, the visit provided a better understanding of the technology, production processes and engineering expertise behind their vehicles, as well as the aftersales support available to keep their fleets running.

Anvar Kasimov, Head of Bus at MAN Truck & Bus (M) Sdn Bhd, said the programme also allowed the company to gather direct feedback from its customers.

“Beyond showcasing our production facilities, the visit gave our Sales and Engineering teams the opportunity to hear directly from customers. These exchanges will support our further development in the Asian region,” he said.

MAN Malaysia Managing Director Marc Appelt said the initiative was part of the company’s efforts to strengthen customer relationships through transparency, engagement and dependable support.

He added that MAN’s bus and coach chassis combine performance, passenger comfort, fuel efficiency, reliability and sustainability, backed by aftersales support and predictable operating costs.

With more Malaysian bus operators recognising the value of its products, MAN Malaysia aims to build greater customer confidence by providing direct access to its facilities, technologies and people.

The company also highlighted its focus on helping operators simplify their businesses and manage long-term operating costs.

Mohd Kaharuddin bin Salleh, Executive Chairman of Pancaran Matahari Travel & Tours Sdn Bhd, said the experience reinforced his confidence in the MAN brand.

He highlighted the visit to MAN’s Ankara production plant as a key takeaway, particularly the opportunity to witness its manufacturing capabilities and test-drive some of the buses produced there.

Seeing the technology and production processes up close, he said, gave him a deeper appreciation of the engineering that goes into building MAN vehicles.
