Triumph Motorcycles has sharpened its middleweight performance proposition in Malaysia with the arrival of the new Triumph Street Triple 765 RX, a limited-run variant that pushes the Street Triple platform deeper into track-focused territory.
Introduced by DIDI Group in Cheras, the RX is less a cosmetic special and more a technical escalation — positioned as the most focused, race-bred interpretation of the 765 to date.

Derived from the already highly decorated Street Triple RS, the RX raises the dynamic ceiling with a comprehensive chassis upgrade led by premium Öhlins hardware. The adoption of fully adjustable NIX30 upside-down forks — complete with compression, rebound and preload tuning — significantly elevates front-end feel and braking stability, particularly under high corner-entry loads.
Paired with an Öhlins STX40 rear monoshock, the package transforms the bike’s feedback loop, giving experienced riders a much wider setup window for both road and circuit use.

Ergonomics have been reworked with clip-on handlebars, shifting the rider further forward into a more aggressive stance. The change is subtle in appearance but profound in effect: weight distribution over the front axle improves turn-in precision and mid-corner confidence, reinforcing the RX’s positioning as a street-legal track tool rather than a conventional naked.
Performance remains anchored by Triumph’s Moto2-derived 765 cc inline-three, producing 130 PS at 12,000 rpm and 80 Nm at 9,500 rpm. The engine’s high-revving character, combined with its broad torque spread, continues to define the Street Triple’s appeal — delivering supersport-level urgency without sacrificing real-world tractability.

A slip-and-assist clutch, six-speed gearbox and the brand’s refined ride-by-wire calibration ensure the powertrain remains as usable in urban conditions as it is on fast sweepers.
The braking system mirrors the chassis intent. Twin 310 mm floating front discs gripped by Brembo Stylema radial monobloc calipers, actuated via a Brembo MCS master cylinder, provide the kind of initial bite and thermal consistency expected in serious track applications.

With a fully fuelled weight of just 188 kg, the RX retains the Street Triple’s hallmark agility while gaining an extra layer of composure under extreme riding loads.
Visually, the RX distinguishes itself through details that reference the cult-status Street Triple 675 RX. The Matt Aluminium Silver base is contrasted by a Diablo Red rear subframe and matching wheels, while precision-machined components, a laser-etched silencer logo and an RX-specific seat reinforce its limited-edition status. These are not merely styling cues; they signal collectability in a segment where exclusivity is increasingly valued alongside outright performance.

Despite its circuit bias, the RX retains everyday usability. A full-colour 5-inch TFT display, a manageable 839 mm seat height and Triumph’s 10,000 km / 12-month service interval ensure the bike remains practical for regular road use — a key factor in the Malaysian market, where most high-performance nakeds serve dual roles as weekday transport and weekend track machines.
Priced from RM81,100 (excluding registration and insurance) and available for one year only, the Street Triple 765 RX is positioned as a halo variant within Triumph’s local line-up.

More importantly, it reflects a broader shift in the premium middleweight segment: buyers are no longer satisfied with “fast road” nakeds alone — they are seeking machines with genuine circuit capability, high-end suspension and a clear link to racing development.
In that context, the RX is not just another special edition. It is Triumph’s most explicit statement yet that the Street Triple platform remains the dynamic benchmark in the category, now with the hardware and ergonomics to back up that claim on track.
