Blueshark Malaysia has announced that the SoloEra Solo 2, the second model under its new high-value sub-brand, is now available for sale. This follows the strong market response to the SoloEra Solo 1C, which recorded nearly 9,000 pre-orders during its pre-launch promotion from July 15 to September 16.
Starting 10 October 2025, the first 50 customers can pre-order the SoloEra Solo 2 at an introductory price of RM5,599, inclusive of a free Blueshark helmet. The retail price will subsequently be set at RM6,399. All prices exclude the MARiiCas RM2,400 rebate, which is currently on hold.
As part of Blueshark’s Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) programme, the Solo 2 requires a five-year dual battery rental plan at RM99 per month, along with a RM10 monthly connectivity pack. The plan includes an unlimited battery warranty for the duration of the rental period. Pre-orders will be fulfilled within two months through Blueshark and its authorised dealers nationwide, with additional shipping charges for East Malaysia.
Developed to provide affordable, high-quality electric mobility solutions, the SoloEra range is aimed at expanding two-wheel EV adoption in support of Malaysia’s Net Zero goals. The models share Blueshark’s swappable battery technology and ecosystem, but are priced more competitively for the local market.
“The launch of the Solo 2 strengthens SoloEra’s position as a key sub-brand under Blueshark,” said Jeff Chong, CEO of Blueshark Malaysia Sdn Bhd. “Following the success of the Solo 1C and the start of our CKD operations in Malaysia, SoloEra is well-positioned to deliver strong value and performance to riders. Our immediate focus is to fulfil all pre-orders promptly.”
Chong added that product quality and customer satisfaction remain the company’s priority. “We set a waiting period of up to six months for Solo 1C pre-orders, but expect deliveries for the Solo 2 to take under two months. Every unit undergoes strict quality control before delivery, with the Solo 3 next in line for release.”
The SoloEra Solo 2 is capable of reducing up to 3,500kg of CO₂ emissions annually—about 90 percent lower than a typical 150cc petrol motorcycle. It has a top speed of 95km/h and a maximum NEDC range of up to 140km, powered by two second-generation lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries delivering a combined output of 4,000W. The bike accelerates from 0–50km/h in under 7.2 seconds and supports both direct charging via a standard three-pin socket and future battery swapping options by end-2025.
Each LFP battery pack includes physical protection, multiple sensors, and intelligent safety systems. With a thermal failure threshold of 800°C and a lifespan exceeding 2,000 full recharge cycles, the batteries are designed to be four times more durable and explosion-resistant than conventional types.
The Solo 2 features dual hydraulic disc brakes with CBS, telescopic front forks, and twin rear shock absorbers. It weighs 100kg without batteries (132kg with both installed) and supports a maximum payload of 270kg. The motorcycle is also designed for gig economy riders, featuring a removable pillion seat and integrated cargo rails.
The model includes four riding modes and is equipped with smart connectivity via a mobile app, allowing users to monitor vehicle status and telematics. It also features a 7-inch LED display, Bluetooth smart key, remote locking, anti-theft alarm, and a “Find My Vehicle” function.
Available in Stardust Blue, Eclipse Gold, and Orion Grey, the SoloEra Solo 2 is locally assembled by EP Manufacturing Berhad (EPMB) at its Glenmarie facility alongside the Solo 1C. Bookings and test rides are now open at the Blueshark Showroom and 3S Centre in Glenmarie.
