BMW Malaysia has introduced the updated BMW X5 xDrive40i M Sport, featuring significant design, technology, and performance enhancements for the premium Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV). Pricing is as mentioned below:

The new X5 xDrive40i M Sport adopts a refreshed front fascia with a reworked BMW kidney grille featuring Iconic Glow illumination. The adaptive LED headlights are now slimmer by 35mm and include an updated high-beam assistant.
The daytime running lights form an X-shaped signature, ending in outward-facing arrows to highlight the vehicle’s width. A redesigned front bumper incorporates triangular air intakes and vertical air curtains for improved airflow and road presence.
At the rear, the SAV features new 3D-effect taillights with stylised X motifs and a revised bumper. The exterior is completed with staggered 21-inch M light alloy wheels in a V-Spoke design and M Sport brakes.
Other equipment includes Satin Aluminium trim elements and roof rails, plus high-gloss black wood trim and electrically folding side mirrors.
Inside, the X5’s cabin now integrates the BMW Curved Display with a 12.3-inch information screen and a 14.9-inch touchscreen for controls, all powered by BMW Operating System 8.5.
Standard features include sport seats with electric adjustment and memory, Sensafin synthetic leather upholstery in black, a redesigned centre console with touch-based controls, and a rocker switch gear selector.

Under the hood, the new X5 is powered by a 3.0-litre inline six-cylinder petrol engine coupled with a 48V mild-hybrid system. It produces 381 hp and 540 Nm of torque — an increase of 47 hp and 70 Nm over its predecessor.
Paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and BMW’s xDrive all-wheel-drive system, it completes the 0–100 km/h sprint in 5.4 seconds, with a top speed of 250 km/h.
The vehicle is supported by a double-wishbone front and five-link rear suspension setup, Dynamic Damper Control, and a two-axle air suspension system. This allows the ride height to be lowered by 20mm in Sport mode or raised by up to 40mm for off-road driving.
Standard active safety and driver assistance systems include:
- Driving Assistant Professional with adaptive cruise control, lane keeping and lane change assist, emergency stop, and wrong-way alert
- Parking Assistant Professional with automatic parking, 3D surround view, reversing assistant, and the Manoeuvring Assistant that memorises parking paths up to 198 metres
