Honda Malaysia has officially launched the updated HR-V, a refreshed version of the popular non-national B-segment SUV. The new HR-V features design updates, improved cabin practicality, upgraded connectivity, and advanced safety technologies across all variants.

Since its local debut in 2015, over 170,000 units of the HR-V have been sold in Malaysia. As of now, it commands a 41% share of the non-national B-SUV segment. The latest update aims to maintain that momentum by offering more value and features.
Exterior and Interior Updates
The updated HR-V comes with a redesigned front grille, full LED headlights with Active Cornering Light (on selected variants), and a continuous rear LED light strip. All variants now ride on 18-inch two-tone alloy wheels. The e:HEV RS variant adds a sporty RS styling package.

Inside, the cabin gains RS-embossed seats (e:HEV RS only), a redesigned centre console with a wireless charger, and a floating 8-inch touchscreen with improved visibility.
Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are now standard across the range. USB-C ports are available at both front and rear, and Honda’s Air Diffusion System ensures even airflow throughout the cabin.

Powertrain Options
Three powertrains are offered:
- 1.5L DOHC i-VTEC petrol engine (121 PS, 145 Nm) for balanced daily use
- 1.5L VTEC Turbo engine (181 PS, 240 Nm) for more performance-oriented driving
- 1.5L e:HEV hybrid system (131 PS, 253 Nm) for high fuel efficiency with electric drive capabilities

All variants come with selectable driving modes: ECON, Normal, and Sport.
Safety and Connectivity

All variants now come equipped with Honda SENSING, which includes features such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist, and Adaptive Driving Beam (on selected variants). Honda CONNECT, the brand’s connected car service, is now available on the S and E variants in addition to the higher trims.
