The Malaysian round of MotoGP just took place last weekend at the Sepang International Circuit and one of the most active brands even though it is not part of the race was Kawasaki, represented by the sole distributor in Malaysia – Modenas.
The company launched not one but two new models over the weekend, which were the Kawasaki Eliminator 500 and the highly anticipated 2024 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R. While you can read all about the Ninja ZX-6R here in another dedicated post, let us focus on the Eliminator 500.
Aimed at beginner and female riders who are looking for an affordable cruiser, and those who are new to the world of big bikes, the new Eliminator 500, which is being assembled locally, is priced at a competitive RM30,100 on the road without insurance.
With its debut in Malaysia in 2024, the Eliminator seamlessly merges the classic cruiser silhouette with the heart of a Ninja 500 engine, creating a blend of cruiser comfort and sports bike performance.
Whether you’re commuting or taking long rides, the Eliminator offers an accessible, low seat height that enhances comfort and confidence. That being said, the Eliminator 500 is available in two colours – Pearl Robotic White and Metallic Spark Black.
In addition to the product launches, MODENAS organized its largest MotoGP convoy to the Sepang International Circuit, featuring 400 Kawasaki owners. The convoy set off from Glenmarie at 8:30 AM, escorted by police to ensure safety.
This massive gathering showcased a range of Kawasaki models, from 250cc to 1100cc, and provided a platform for bikers to connect and forge new friendships. Participants received K1 Grandstand tickets, food vouchers, and specially prepared Kawasaki convoy t-shirts. This annual ride is one of the most anticipated events, attracting bikers from all over the country.
