TC Subaru Sdn Bhd, the sole distributor of Subaru vehicles in Malaysia has announced the introduction of the updated 2021 Subaru XV 2.0i-P in Malaysia, which is actually an enhanced version of the pre-facelift model.
With the introduction of the 2021 Subaru XV 2.0i-P, it will now be the base XV variant in the range, replacing the XV 2.0i which was the base variant previously. Including the newly launched model, the Subaru XV will be available in two trim levels – the XV 2.0i-P and the XV GT Edition which asks for RM137,888.
In case you’re wondering, the 2021 Subaru XV 2.0i-P is priced at RM131,788 (on-the-road without insurance in Peninsular Malaysia).
Leather Suede Deluxe
As for the special upholstery, the XV 2.0i-P Leather Suede Deluxe features designer seats, combining luxurious leather and sporty suede in an effort to give the crossover an elegant touch.
Accentuating the textures and comfortable cushions of these Leather Suede Deluxe seats is the gloss black, matte black and silver accents which are coordinated with the XV 2.0i-P cabin’s orange stitching.
The Leather Suede Deluxe is only available for the 2021 XV 2.0i-P variant. This upholstery upgrade is also exclusive only to Malaysia and Thailand. Passengers can look forward to experiencing a fresh blend of luxury and sportiness, making it an enjoyable ride for everyone on board the 5-seater crossover.
Apple CarPlay, Android Auto
The XV 2.0i-P is complemented by a set of 17-inch bespoke alloy wheels. The equipment package includes a new 8-inch Display Audio System with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity which allows drivers to be constantly connected to their messaging, entertainment, and navigation apps effortlessly.
Other standard features include LED headlights, LED taillights, 17-inch two-tone alloy wheels, silver roof rails, keyless entry, push-button start, dual-zone automatic climate control, a 6.3-inch central multi-info display, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, six speakers, and a reverse camera.
Power comes courtesy of a naturally aspirated 2.0-litre direct-injected flat-four engine which is capable of producing a maximum output of 156 PS at 6,000 rpm and 196 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. Sending the power to all four wheels is Subaru’s Lineartronic CVT gearbox which comes with seven virtual ratios.
Further complementing the engine and gearbox is the suite of Subaru’s Core Technologies – Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, Boxer Engine and Subaru Global Platform – all of which contribute to a total of more than 100 safety features.
The 2021 XV 2.0i-P 2021 is offered in six colours –Pure White, Dark Grey Metallic, Ice Silver Metallic, Dark Blue Pearl, Cool Grey Khaki and Sunshine Orange.
