Bermaz XPENG Sdn Bhd has expanded its Malaysian portfolio with the introduction of the XPENG G6 Standard Range. The new variant joins the G6 family following the earlier debut of the Long Range and AWD Performance versions, broadening customer choice with a more attainable entry point into XPENG’s electric SUV lineup. Prices for the Standard Range start from RM158,888.
The launch underscores XPENG’s strategy to make intelligent electric mobility more accessible locally, without diluting the brand’s emphasis on advanced technology and driving refinement. Positioned as a balanced everyday EV, the G6 Standard Range combines performance, efficiency, and smart features in a streamlined package.
Like its higher-spec siblings, the G6 Standard Range is built on XPENG’s SEPA 2.0 architecture. This next-generation platform integrates vehicle hardware, software, and intelligent systems to improve structural rigidity, efficiency, and responsiveness. While optimised for daily use, the Standard Range retains the core driving characteristics and intelligent foundations that define the G6 lineup.
Energy comes from a 68.5 kWh battery pack, which is around 50 kg lighter than the unit used in the Long Range variant. Paired with XPENG’s 800V 5C ultra-fast charging system, the G6 Standard Range supports rapid DC charging from 10% to 80% in approximately 12 minutes. Efficiency is rated at as low as 16.6 kWh per 100 km, with a WLTP driving range of up to 480 km.
Practical usability has also been prioritised. When parked with the air conditioning running, energy consumption is kept to around 1% per hour, helping preserve range during real-world use. This combination of fast charging and intelligent energy management positions the G6 Standard Range as a convenient EV for urban and intercity driving.
The G6 Standard Range comes equipped with XPILOT Assist, XPENG’s advanced driver assistance suite. Powered by computing capability rated at 21.5 TOPS, the system processes real-time data with high precision, enabling smoother and more natural vehicle responses.
Standard features include Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Centering Control, Autonomous Parking Assist, and Auto Exit Parking Assist. Together, these systems support confident daily driving with stable lane control, smooth braking, and accurate automated parking functions, enhancing safety and convenience without adding complexity.
Inside, the G6 Standard Range retains the clean, modern cabin design of the G6, with an emphasis on space, comfort, and digital integration. Soft-touch materials, ambient lighting, and a simplified interior layout create a refined environment, while the central touchscreen and customisable human-machine interface ensure intuitive operation.
XPENG’s intelligent software adds practical touches such as X-Combo custom settings, allowing features like seat ventilation to activate automatically when the seatbelt is fastened. Rear passengers benefit from optimised seatback angles and longer seat cushions, improving comfort on longer journeys. A high-resolution 360-degree camera system further enhances visibility and ease of use in tight spaces.
Powering the G6 Standard Range is a rear-wheel-drive electric motor producing 185 kW and 440 Nm of torque. The lighter overall vehicle weight contributes to sharper responses and improved agility, while suspension tuning focuses on a balance between ride comfort and composure. On the road, the G6 Standard Range delivers smooth, confident acceleration and stable handling, well suited to everyday driving conditions.
Pricing, Warranty, and Availability
The XPENG G6 Standard Range is fully imported from China and is now open for booking in Malaysia, priced from RM158,888. As part of the ownership package, buyers can choose between a two-year unlimited charging plan via JomCharge or a complimentary 11 kW wallbox with installation by DC Handal.
All G6 variants are backed by a five-year or 120,000 km vehicle warranty, along with five years of free service and maintenance or 100,000 km. The high-voltage battery pack is covered for eight years or 160,000 km, providing additional long-term assurance.
The wider XPENG lineup in Malaysia remains unchanged, with no revisions to specifications or pricing for existing models. The G6 Standard Range will also be displayed at the XPENG Roadshow from 14 to 18 January 2026 at LUXE, 1 Utama Shopping Centre.
