Volvo Car Malaysia is extending its complimentary Volvo Car Connect Plus data package by an additional year for owners whose current subscriptions are nearing expiry.
Connect Plus — previously known as Digital Services — provides data connectivity for Volvo models equipped with Google built-in. The service supports media streaming without tethering, over-the-air updates, and full access to Google Assistant, Google Maps and Google Play Store.
New Volvo vehicles are bundled with up to five years of free data connectivity. Early Google built-in models in Malaysia were originally offered with four years of complimentary access.
With 2024 model year cars moving to a five-year package, Volvo Car Malaysia will now bring earlier customers up to the same level by adding one extra free year. The extension will be applied automatically without requiring updates or SIM replacements.
Owners of eligible model year 2022 and 2023 vehicles on the CMA and SPA1 platforms will receive the extra year once their current plan ends. Applicable models include:

Sun Qian, Head of Total Offer for Volvo Cars APeC, said the extension ensures early adopters enjoy the same benefits as buyers of newer models, enabling them to continue using voice commands and Google services without additional subscription costs.
Connect Plus plays a central role in Volvo’s latest fully electric models, which rely heavily on software and AI-driven computing systems. As seen in the EX90 and the upcoming ES90 and EX60, the platform supports extensive data processing and over-the-air optimisation for autonomous driving features and safety systems.
The subscription is tied to the vehicle rather than the owner, meaning any remaining validity transfers automatically to subsequent owners — enhancing convenience and supporting resale value.
