Volvo Car Malaysia has officially opened registrations of interest for the all-new Volvo ES90, marking the brand’s first fully electric sedan to be locally assembled for the Malaysian market. The ES90 is scheduled to make its domestic debut in the first quarter of 2026, further expanding Volvo’s growing locally assembled EV portfolio.
From today, interested customers can register via Volvo Car Malaysia’s official website. Full specifications, variant line-up and pricing details will be announced closer to the vehicle’s official launch. As an early engagement incentive, the first 100 customers who book the ES90 between now and 31 March 2026 will enjoy a 2 percent early-bird benefit.

According to Patricia Yaw, Sales & Marketing Director of Volvo Car Malaysia, the local assembly of the ES90 carries special significance as the brand celebrates six decades of presence in the country.
She noted that introducing the ES90 as Volvo’s first fully electric sedan assembled in Malaysia reflects the company’s long-standing commitment to the market, built on decades of customer trust, technical expertise and continuous innovation.
At the heart of the Volvo ES90 is the brand’s most advanced electric vehicle architecture to date. The model features an 800-volt electrical system designed to optimise efficiency, performance and everyday usability.

Supporting ultra-fast DC charging of up to 350 kW, the ES90 can replenish its battery from 10 to 80 percent in around 22 minutes, or add approximately 300 km of driving range in just 10 minutes.
In terms of performance, the ES90 delivers up to 333 PS and 480 Nm of torque, paired with an estimated WLTP driving range of up to 651 km on a single charge. This allows the electric sedan to comfortably handle long-distance travel within Malaysia on a single charge, addressing one of the key concerns for EV adopters.

The ES90 is built on Volvo’s SPA2 platform and is fully software-defined, supported by the brand’s Superset technology stack. This integrated hardware and software ecosystem enables continuous enhancements via over-the-air updates, ensuring the vehicle evolves throughout its ownership lifecycle.
Further elevating its technological credentials, the ES90 will be the first Volvo to feature the NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Orin computing system. With unprecedented processing power, the platform underpins next-generation safety systems, advanced driver assistance, AI-driven functions and data-based optimisation.

With local assembly, cutting-edge EV technology and a strong focus on safety, performance and luxury, the Volvo ES90 positions itself as a significant new entrant in Malaysia’s premium electric sedan segment.
