  • Mazda6 – 13 units
  • Mazda CX-3 – 381 units
  • Mazda CX-5 – 15,780 units
  • Mazda CX-9 – 42 units

Bermaz Motor also mentioned that all year 2020 production models are not affected in this product recall.

This product recall is necessary as a preventive measure to address the possibility of loss of engine power or vehicle stalling caused by the fuel pump module.

Affected customers will be informed via notification letters and mobile SMS, which will include details of the product recall. Upon receipt of notification to replace the fuel pump, Bermaz Motor urges all affected customers to contact any Bermaz authorized service centres to make an appointment.

The replacement of the affected fuel pump is free of charge and all costs related to this replacement activity will be borne by Bermaz Motor.

The duration of repair service is estimated to take approximately 1.5 hours or slightly longer depending on the model and the service centre workload at the time of appointment. The replacement stocks will be available in stages.

Mazda Launches CX-3 Limited Edition – RM141k

In conjunction with Mazda’s 100th anniversary, Bermaz Motor Sdn Bhd, the authorised distributor of Mazda vehicles in Malaysia has introduced the CX-3 Limited Edition to commemorate the occasion.

Developed by Bermaz’s MazdaSports Division, the limited edition CX-3 features various enhancements such as a unique bodykit which comprises two-tone body paint with a Piano Black roof, a front lip spoiler, a rear spoiler, Gunmetal design 18-inch alloy wheels, brushed aluminium exhaust tips, and Mazda 100th Anniversary Badges.

Inside, the theme extends to the seats, steering wheel, armrest, and the gear knob that feature a unique dark gray suede finish to match the dashboard and door trims.

Complementing the package is the Black limited edition carpet mats, and a JBL Basspro Hub 11-inch subwoofer.

Other functional enhancements include a front strut tower brace that covers the engine as well as lower front, mid and rear chassis bars for a sportier driving experience.

Power still comes courtesy of the same naturally aspirated 2.0-litre 4-cylinder SkyActiv-G petrol engine that produces 156 PS and 206 Nm of torque, which is paired to a 6-speed automatic transmission.

Limited to just 25 units, the Limited Edition package costs RM 14,500 on top of the stock CX-3 which now asks for RM126,829 (minus SST).

According to Bermaz, the Limited Edition package also comes with a 1-Year Mazda Genuine Accessory Warranty based on the period of fitment at the time of new vehicle purchase.

The limited edition CX-3 is now open for reservation and orders can be placed at any of the Mazda outlets.

As this a unique production build model, expected delivery is by the end July 2020 and will come exclusively in the Snowflake White Pearl colour.
