Proton New Energy Technology Sdn Bhd (PRO-NET), a subsidiary of PROTON, has officially kicked off the MISI 5 Tour — a nationwide preview event for the Proton e.MAS 5, the brand’s upcoming entry-level electric vehicle.
Set to run from August to October 2025, the tour will travel through five major regions of Malaysia, offering Malaysians an early look at the model ahead of its launch later this year.
The tour will feature a series of public showcases at popular landmarks as well as exclusive stops at Proton e.MAS dealerships across all 13 states. Visitors will be able to experience the e.MAS 5 firsthand, interact with product experts, and meet well-known local influencers.

“The Proton e.MAS 7 has already established itself as Malaysia’s best-selling EV, and we want to build the same confidence for the e.MAS 5,” said PRO-NET CEO Zhang Qiang. “The MISI 5 Tour allows us to connect with people directly, letting them explore the car up close and understand how it fits into their daily lives.”
The Proton e.MAS 5 is designed for young urban professionals, families, and first-time EV buyers. The MISI 5 Tour aims to show how the model’s design, technology, and practicality make it suitable for everyday use — from school runs to weekend getaways.

Visitors can expect guided walkarounds, static displays, and interactive activities highlighting the vehicle’s styling, generous storage space, and smart features such as pre-cooling and real-time charge planning.
With its ability to recharge to 80% in less than a lunch break, flexible cabin layout, and advanced safety systems, the e.MAS 5 is positioned as a versatile and convenient choice for modern lifestyles.

Each region of the MISI 5 Tour will feature a local influencer taking on a unique lifestyle challenge inspired by the area’s culture:
- Central – Karl Shafek, fashion designer and TV host, will turn the e.MAS 5 into a mobile makeup studio during KL Fashion Week.
- South – Johan Eskandar will explore heritage spots and pet-friendly venues.
- North – Soyabelacan will cook and serve dishes straight from the EV’s spacious frunk.
- East Coast – Zameer Pentbrush will create a moving mural on the car.
- East Malaysia – Ain Ramli will host a record-breaking haunted livestream powered by the vehicle’s tech.
