The inaugural OMODA | JAECOO Carnival at Desa ParkCity served as a stage for the brand to preview its most powerful model to date — the OMODA C9 PHEV. This plug-in hybrid SUV coupe not only embodies cutting-edge hybrid technology but also reflects the brand’s ambition to lead the premium electrified SUV segment.
The C9 PHEV features a triple-motor plug-in hybrid powertrain that pairs a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine with three electric motors. Under optimal conditions, this setup delivers an impressive 445 kW (605 PS) and 915 Nm of torque, making it the most performance-oriented model in the brand’s line-up.
This immense power enables the SUV to sprint from 0–100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds, rivaling many performance-focused vehicles.
Beyond its raw performance, the C9 PHEV is engineered for efficiency. Equipped with a 34.46 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery, it offers up to 150 km of pure electric driving and a combined driving range of around 1,100 km.
Charging options are versatile, with support for 70 kW DC fast charging and both 6.6 kW and 2.8 kW AC charging solutions. Fuel consumption is rated at an impressive 1.7 litres/100 km (WLTC), highlighting the SUV’s eco-friendly credentials. The hybrid system works seamlessly with a 3-Speed Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT) that balances powerful acceleration with smooth cruising efficiency.
To ensure refinement matches performance, the C9 PHEV incorporates a Continuous Damping Control (CDC) active suspension system. With five sensors adjusting the suspension response up to 100 times per second, the system adapts to road conditions instantly.
Seven driving modes are available, fine-tuned for both on-road comfort and off-road versatility, ensuring the C9 PHEV is as capable in the city as it is on rugged terrain.
The C9 PHEV’s bold coupe-SUV silhouette is accentuated by an Auxiliary Lighting System, which highlights the vehicle’s sculpted lines. Inside, luxury takes centre stage with heated and ventilated front seats, showcasing a balance of practicality and sophistication.
