BYD Sime Motors has officially launched the new and enhanced BYD Seal in Malaysia, featuring a few subtle yet significant enhancements such as a new intelligent suspension system, a new colour, as well as a few new convenience features.
Building on the success of its predecessor, the updated Seal is offered in two variants — Premium and Performance — with pricing starting at RM171,800 for the Premium and RM191,800 for the Performance. Both models are available immediately at BYD outlets nationwide.

The Performance variant stands out with its 0–100 km/h acceleration time of just 3.8 seconds, placing it among the quickest electric sedans in its segment. It also comes fitted with BYD’s DiSus-C Intelligent Damping Body Control System, a feature typically reserved for premium marques. This system improves handling and stability, particularly at higher speeds, giving drivers a more confident driving experience.

The Premium variant, on the other hand, is tuned for long-distance efficiency with an impressive 650 km range (NEDC) on a single charge. Equipped with Frequency Selective Damping (FSD) shock absorbers, it delivers a smooth and balanced ride, blending comfort with performance.

Beyond raw performance, the Seal receives subtle yet impactful upgrades for convenience and style. A new electric sunshade for the panoramic sunroof, seamless keyless access with BYD Digital Key NFC and Bluetooth Key, and a sunglass holder are among the new additions designed with everyday usability in mind.

Both variants now feature newly designed 19-inch alloy rims, while the Performance version adds red brake calipers for a sportier aesthetic. Customers can also choose from four exterior colours: Aurora White, Atlantis Grey, Cosmos Black, and the new Shark Grey.

To celebrate its debut, BYD Sime Motors is offering the “SEAL THE DEAL” launch package for the first 300 customers. Valued at up to RM10,888, the bundle includes a complimentary home wall charger, service package, and a special launch rebate — making ownership more accessible to early adopters.

Jeffrey Gan, Managing Director of Sime Motors Southeast Asia, said the Seal’s launch reinforces the brand’s leadership in Malaysia’s EV market.

“Last year, the Seal was the country’s best-selling electric sedan. With this updated model, we are confident it will continue to resonate with Malaysian drivers,” he said. “Together with our CKD production plans and expanding retail network, this strengthens our mission to accelerate the transition to electric mobility in Malaysia.”

With over 36 outlets nationwide, BYD Sime Motors continues to widen accessibility for customers across the country. The arrival of the New Seal is expected to fuel even greater demand, offering Malaysians a refined combination of speed, technology, and practicality in one compelling package.
