Volvo Car Malaysia has unveiled the refreshed XC60, the brand’s best-selling mid-size SUV, following the local debut of its flagship EX90 and XC90 models earlier this year. The updated XC60 introduces design changes, upgraded comfort features, and the latest technology while continuing to offer electrified powertrains.
The refreshed XC60 will be offered in two variants for the Malaysian market:
- XC60 T8 AWD Plug-in Hybrid – estimated pricing from RM367,888
- XC60 B5 AWD Mild Hybrid – estimated pricing from RM333,888
The refreshed XC60 adopts a cleaner and more athletic look. Updates include a new diagonal mesh front grille, signature “Thor Hammer” LED headlights, and darkened rear lamps. New wheel designs and additional colour options, including Forest Lake and Bright Dusk, further align the SUV with Volvo’s modern design direction.
Inside, the cabin continues to reflect Volvo’s Scandinavian design philosophy—minimalist, purposeful, and centred on occupant comfort. The SUV retains its reputation for segment-leading seats, designed to provide balanced support for both short commutes and long-distance drives.
The air suspension system, now included as a complimentary feature for the plug-in hybrid variant for a limited time, enhances ride comfort by absorbing uneven road surfaces and keeping the cabin stable and quiet.
Practical enhancements include repositioned wireless charging for easier use, reconfigured cupholders, and flexible cargo storage. The XC60 also debuts advanced air purification technology that removes up to 95% of harmful particles, contributing to a healthier in-cabin environment.
A new 11.2-inch freestanding central display, powered by Google built-in, integrates services such as Google Maps navigation, Google Assistant voice control, and popular apps like Spotify and Waze.
For audio, the optional Bowers & Wilkins High Fidelity sound system provides a premium listening experience, designed to replicate concert-like acoustics inside the cabin.
The XC60 T8 Plug-in Hybrid offers up to 89 km of pure electric driving range (WLTP), allowing daily commutes, school runs, and city driving to be completed with zero emissions. A petrol engine supplements the electric motor for longer journeys, providing over 450 Nm of torque and ensuring strong, responsive performance.
The XC60 B5 Mild Hybrid delivers improved efficiency without requiring charging. The system recovers braking energy to support the petrol engine, reducing fuel consumption and emissions while maintaining smooth drivability.
All XC60 variants feature Volvo’s latest suite of safety systems. These include adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and collision avoidance technology, complemented by Volvo’s high-strength safety cage.
With this refresh, the XC60 continues to deliver on Volvo’s brand pillars: safety, comfort, and electrification. The SUV combines sustainable mobility options with Scandinavian luxury, positioning itself as one of the most complete premium mid-size SUVs in the market.
Since its global launch, the XC60 has sold nearly 2.7 million units worldwide, making it Volvo’s most popular model. In Malaysia, more than 6,200 units have been delivered, cementing its position as a top choice for families seeking a premium SUV that blends comfort, safety, and versatility.
