MG Motor Malaysia has introduced a new rear-wheel drive (RWD) variant of the MG Cyberster electric roadster, priced at RM299,900. This variant joins the existing all-wheel drive (AWD) version, which is priced at RM319,900.
The Cyberster RWD is powered by a single electric motor producing 340 PS and 475 Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.0 seconds and is equipped with a 77 kWh battery, delivering a driving range of up to 508 km (WLTP). The battery supports DC fast charging, allowing for a 10–80% charge in 38 minutes.
Standard features include 19-inch alloy wheels and Brembo brake calipers. Both Cyberster variants share a low-slung body with a Kammback tail, scissor doors, arrow-shaped LED tail lights, and a leather and Alcantara interior with sports seats.
The cockpit features a three-screen digital layout: a 10.25-inch driver display, two 7-inch auxiliary screens, and a 7-inch infotainment touchscreen.
Built as a dedicated EV, the Cyberster uses a flat battery pack design to maximise interior space and improve handling with a low centre of gravity. MG also highlights the use of advanced battery tech aimed at reducing cell expansion, which contributes to long-term reliability and safety.
The Cyberster is offered in four colours: Dynamic Red, Camden Grey, Inca Yellow, and English White. Interior colour combinations depend on the exterior choice, and a red soft top is available for an additional RM2,000.
Buyers of the MG Cyberster receive a warranty package including:

- 8-year/180,000 km high-voltage battery warranty
- 8-year/160,000 km drive motor and control unit warranty
- 1-year unlimited charging via JomCharge with AutoCharge functionality

Public Debut and Promotions
The MG Cyberster RWD will be displayed at the “Dare to Love” roadshow at 1 Utama Shopping Centre (Old Wing, Ground Floor Centre Court) from 9–13 July 2025. Visitors who book during the event will receive:
