Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has introduced the new Mercedes-Benz C 200 AMG Line, continuing the brand’s strong presence in the premium sedan segment.
As the best-selling model family for Mercedes-Benz in Malaysia over the past decade, the C-Class remains a core offering, and the latest update reinforces its position with a sportier design, enhanced equipment, and local assembly at the Pekan production plant.
The C 200 AMG Line adopts a sharper AMG Line exterior package. At the front, the car features a redesigned AMG front apron with larger air intakes, while the rear is finished with a diffuser-look apron and dual visible exhaust trims.
A radiator grille with the Mercedes-Benz pattern and 19-inch AMG multi-spoke light-alloy wheels complete the athletic stance. Supporting the performance-oriented look is an upgraded braking system, which includes larger perforated front discs with “Mercedes-Benz” lettering to enhance both stopping power and design.
Inside, the cabin is tailored for a sportier driving experience. The AMG Line interior includes a multifunction sports steering wheel in nappa leather with a flat-bottom design and perforated grip areas.
Stainless steel AMG sports pedals and velour AMG-branded floor mats further distinguish the model from standard variants. These additions combine luxury with an engaging, performance-inspired atmosphere.
Technology has also been expanded in the new model. The Parking Package with 360-degree camera integrates four external cameras to provide a full top-down and 3D bird’s-eye view, improving safety and convenience in tight spaces.
The USB Package Plus supplies six USB-C charging ports and two 12-volt sockets, ensuring high-speed charging for multiple devices throughout the cabin.
Under the hood, the C 200 AMG Line is powered by a 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine paired with a mild hybrid system. The internal combustion engine produces 204 hp and 300 Nm of torque, supported by a 17 kW electric motor delivering an additional 200 Nm of torque when required.
This combination enables the sedan to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.3 seconds and reach a top speed of 246 km/h. Despite its performance capabilities, the mild-hybrid system contributes to improved efficiency during everyday driving.
The vehicle has a kerb weight of 1,695 kg with a payload capacity of 570 kg, balancing comfort, performance, and practicality.
Priced at RM 292,888 (on-the-road, without insurance, including 10% SST) for Peninsular Malaysia, the locally-assembled C 200 AMG Line is now open for pre-booking through Mercedes-Benz Malaysia’s official website. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in October 2025.
