Launched in Malaysia as a new locally assembled special edition, the Mercedes-Benz GLA Nightfall Edition debuts with a darker, more assertive design theme and a significantly upgraded standard equipment list.
Offered in two variants, the GLA 200 Nightfall Edition and the GLA 250 4MATIC Nightfall Edition are priced at RM258,888 and RM295,888 respectively (on-the-road without insurance, Peninsular Malaysia).

Both variants combine AMG Line styling with the Night Package, creating a more assertive visual identity through high-gloss black accents applied across the grille, exterior trim elements and wheels. The result is a compact SUV that leans harder into its sporty brief without compromising everyday usability.
From a design standpoint, the GLA’s proportions remain unchanged — short overhangs, a strong shoulder line and a coupe-like roof contour — but the Night Package significantly alters its character.

The GLA 200 Nightfall Edition rides on 19-inch AMG 5-twin-spoke light-alloy wheels, while the GLA 250 4MATIC Nightfall Edition steps up to larger 20-inch AMG multi-spoke alloys for a more planted stance.
The 250 variant also gains MULTIBEAM LED headlights with Adaptive Highbeam Assist and ULTRA RANGE high beam, delivering improved night-time visibility and active light distribution tailored to traffic conditions.

Mechanically, the two variants are clearly differentiated. The GLA 200 Nightfall Edition is powered by a 1.33-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 163 hp and 270 Nm, enabling a 0–100 km/h sprint in 8.9 seconds and a top speed of 210 km/h.
The GLA 250 4MATIC Nightfall Edition uses a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine delivering 224 hp and 350 Nm, paired with 4MATIC all-wheel drive. It accelerates from 0–100 km/h in 6.8 seconds and reaches a top speed of 240 km/h. An additional electric motor contribution in the GLA 250 supports efficiency and low-speed response, reflecting Mercedes-Benz’s mild electrification strategy in this segment.

Beyond the aesthetic upgrades, the Nightfall Edition’s appeal lies in its bundled specification. Both variants receive the AMG Line exterior package, sports brake system and lowered comfort suspension as standard. This positions the Nightfall models as fully-loaded derivatives rather than cosmetic add-ons.
Inside, the AMG Line interior continues the darker theme. ARTICO man-made leather combined with MICROCUT microfibre upholstery in black, grey contrast stitching, grey seat belts and light longitudinal-grain aluminium trim create a cohesive, sport-oriented cabin environment. A multifunction sports steering wheel wrapped in nappa leather and a black fabric roof liner reinforce the premium positioning.

Comfort and convenience equipment is comprehensive. THERMOTRONIC automatic climate control comes standard, along with the Parking Package featuring a 360-degree camera and Active Parking Assist.
The system can identify suitable parking spaces and execute automated manoeuvres, while the surround-view display enhances low-speed confidence in tight urban settings — a relevant feature for Malaysian city driving conditions.

From a market perspective, the Nightfall Edition represents a calculated lifecycle update rather than a full model revision. It strengthens the GLA’s value equation by combining popular AMG styling elements with premium features that are often optional in other trims.
In doing so, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia positions the Nightfall Edition as a ready-made specification — eliminating the need for costly add-ons while delivering a more distinctive look straight from the factory.

To support ownership accessibility, Mercedes-Benz Financial offers the Step Up Agility+ Plan, with monthly instalments starting from RM1,888 for the GLA 200 Nightfall Edition and RM2,488 for the GLA 250 4MATIC Nightfall Edition.
The programme includes lower monthly commitments, flexible end-of-term options and a guaranteed future value structure, along with MobilityPlus replacement car support for qualifying service or warranty repairs.

In essence, the Mercedes-Benz GLA Nightfall Edition is not a redesign — it is a strategic specification enhancement. By integrating AMG styling, advanced lighting technology, comprehensive comfort features and competitive financing into a locally assembled package, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia sharpens the GLA’s competitiveness in the premium compact SUV segment while maintaining the brand’s core values of refinement, technology and performance.
