Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has expanded its electric vehicle (EV) charging network through a new partnership with DC Handal, introducing the brand’s sixth branded charging hub at Bamboo Hills, Kuala Lumpur.
Developed in collaboration with Hap Seng Star, the Bamboo Hills hub enhances charging accessibility in a high-traffic lifestyle destination, aligning with the brand’s strategy to integrate sustainable mobility into everyday life. The new location complements Mercedes-Benz Malaysia’s existing partnerships with JomCharge, ChargeEV, Gentari, and P.UP.
Amanda Zhang, CEO and President of Mercedes-Benz Malaysia, said the initiative supports the company’s Ambition 2039 sustainability strategy. “With Bamboo Hills, we are strengthening our EV ecosystem in Malaysia with a reliable, intelligent charging infrastructure that supports performance and sustainability,” she said.

The partnership with DC Handal builds on the company’s multi-channel charging approach, which includes home installations, retail outlets, lifestyle venues, and mobile charging services. This structure ensures convenient access for EV owners while enhancing the brand’s ownership experience.
According to DC Handal Director Zamri bin Mahmud, the collaboration focuses on developing fast, dependable charging facilities that integrate seamlessly into urban environments. “By combining our technical expertise with Mercedes-Benz’s vision for sustainable mobility, we aim to advance Malaysia’s EV infrastructure and support the nation’s transition to electric transportation,” he said.
Mercedes-Benz Malaysia plans to further expand its charging footprint with additional hubs across the country by the end of 2025. With 11 battery electric models already available locally—including the new G 580 with EQ Technology—the company aims to make luxury electric mobility more accessible and convenient nationwide.
