Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has officially launched the all-new Mercedes-AMG CLE 53 4MATIC+ Coupé, a model that represents the brand’s next step in the high-performance coupé segment.
With its blend of cutting-edge engineering, bold styling, and everyday comfort, the new CLE 53 promises to redefine what enthusiasts can expect from a performance-focused two-door.
At its heart is a thoroughly reworked 3.0-litre inline-six engine with twin charging via an exhaust gas turbocharger and an electric auxiliary compressor. This configuration produces 449 hp and 560 Nm of torque, with a temporary overboost function raising torque to 600 Nm for short bursts.
An integrated starter generator adds 17 kW (23 hp) and 205 Nm, while also powering the 48-volt electrical system. Paired with the AMG SPEEDSHIFT TCT 9G transmission and AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive, the coupé accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.2 seconds, before reaching a limited 250 km/h top speed, extendable to 270 km/h with the AMG Driver’s Package.
The CLE 53 stands out with a muscular and aerodynamic profile. A long hood with power domes, AMG-specific radiator grille, and sharply cut DIGITAL LIGHT headlamps give it a commanding presence.
Flared fenders, wider tracks (+58 mm front, +75 mm rear compared to the CLE), and 20-inch AMG Y-spoke alloy wheels with red brake calipers enhance its stance. The rear design features a flowing tail, twin round exhaust outlets, and connected LED taillamps, accentuating both width and sportiness. Buyers can further enhance styling with AMG Night Packages and Exterior Carbon-Fibre Package I.
Inside, the CLE 53 merges luxury and motorsport DNA. The cabin features AMG Performance seats in ARTICO man-made leather/MICROCUT microfibre, with red contrast stitching and red seatbelts.
Drivers get a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and an 11.9-inch central display, complemented by AMG TRACK PACE, a virtual race engineer that records lap and performance data. A Burmester® 3D surround system, panoramic sunroof, and ambient lighting elevate the premium feel.
Handling is sharpened through AMG RIDE CONTROL suspension with adaptive damping, rear-axle steering, and three-stage AMG parameter steering, ensuring agility without sacrificing comfort.
The fully variable 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive allows for rear-biased dynamics, and in drift mode, the coupé can behave like a rear-wheel drive car. Safety and convenience come via Driving Assistance Package Plus and GUARD 360° vehicle protection.
The Mercedes-AMG CLE 53 4MATIC+ Coupé is priced from RM 722,888 (on-the-road without insurance, inclusive of 10% sales tax).
