MG Motor Malaysia has achieved a landmark success, becoming the top-selling market for the MG Cyberster across Asia and Oceania. Since its Malaysian launch in December 2024, the all-electric roadster has captured widespread attention from both the media and car enthusiasts.
Billed as the world’s first electric convertible sports car with dramatic scissor doors, the Cyberster blends classic roadster styling with zero-emission performance. Its debut marked a fresh chapter for electric mobility in Malaysia, combining driving excitement with innovation and bold design.
From its earliest test drives to show-stopping appearances at public events, the Cyberster has quickly developed a strong following. In just a few months, MG Motor Malaysia recorded over 90 confirmed orders — a feat that secured Malaysia’s position as the model’s strongest market in the region.
The car’s appeal extends beyond local roads. The MG Cyberster has earned international praise, securing prestigious honours including the Good Design Award, the Red Dot Design Award and the iF Design Award — accolades that reinforce its reputation as a standout in the global EV market.

With government exemptions on excise and import duties still in place, the model remains competitively priced at RM299,900 for the rear-wheel drive version and RM319,900 for the all-wheel drive variant.
