Malaysia made a commanding impression at Asia Harley Days (AHD) 2025, bringing home four major awards during the regional celebration held from 21–22 November at Midwinter, Khao Yai in Thailand. The strong performance marks Malaysia’s best outing at the event and reinforces the nation’s growing stature in Harley-Davidson’s Asia Emerging Markets network.

A key highlight was the Outstanding Riding Achievement – Unique Record recognition awarded to Dato’ Anand and K.V.R. Sanjevee. The Malaysian duo earned the accolade after completing an extraordinary ride to Umling La Pass, one of the highest motorable routes on the planet. Their ascent—achieved aboard a Harley-Davidson Fat Boy—was celebrated as a rare feat that pushed both rider endurance and machine capability to the limit.

Malaysia’s momentum continued with the Best H-D Community Event award, which went to the organisers of Desaru International Bike Week. The event stood out among submissions from across Asia’s Emerging Markets for its scale, organisation, and ability to draw riders from multiple countries. Its growing reputation has positioned Malaysia as an attractive hub for regional motorcycle tourism.

In the realm of custom motorcycles, Malaysian builder David Harrison captured the H-D Custom Kings Asia – King of the Kings title with his distinctive Electra Glide Highway King build known as “El Patron.” After first advancing as a wild-card entry, Harrison represented Malaysia in the regional finals, where judges praised the bike’s craftsmanship, design identity, and attention to detail.

The final accolade of the night for Malaysia came in the form of the Largest Contingent to AHD award. The honor was bestowed upon HRB Motorcycle Club Malaysia, which recorded the strongest turnout from any Asia Emerging Markets country outside of Thailand. Their participation underscored Malaysia’s vibrant and tightly knit Harley-Davidson community.

With all four awards combined, Malaysia finished the event as the top-performing nation, earning the highest number of wins in a single night among Harley-Davidson’s Asia Emerging Markets—which include the Philippines, South Korea, Vietnam, Indonesia, Taiwan, Singapore, India, Hong Kong, Macau and host country Thailand.

The results not only reflect Malaysia’s passionate rider culture but also highlight the country’s growing influence in the regional Harley-Davidson scene.
