Leapmotor, one of China’s fastest-growing new energy vehicle (NEV) brands, has reached a historic milestone by delivering 50,129 vehicles in July 2025, including both domestic and export markets.

This marks a staggering year-over-year increase of 126%, making it the company’s highest monthly sales volume to date and the first time it has crossed the 50,000-unit mark.

This achievement not only underscores Leapmotor’s rapid growth but also cements its position as the #1 NEV start-up in China for July 2025—outpacing several established rivals. The brand’s ability to consistently meet evolving consumer expectations in the competitive electric vehicle space has made it a clear leader in the affordable EV segment.

The record sales performance builds on Leapmotor’s impressive showing in the first half of 2025, during which it delivered 221,664 units—again leading among NEV start-ups. Analysts attribute this momentum to the company’s strong product pipeline, strategic market positioning, and increasing recognition for its balance of technology, design, and value.

A major contributor to Leapmotor’s recent success is its C10 mid-size SUV, which has garnered significant attention in both China and overseas markets. Measuring around 4.74 metres in length with a spacious 2.825 metre wheelbase, the C10 offers a blend of comfort, practicality, and advanced technology that appeals to families and tech-savvy drivers alike.

The C10 is available in two main powertrain configurations. The fully electric (BEV) version uses a 69.9 kWh lithium-iron phosphate (LFP) battery paired with a rear-mounted motor producing approximately 218 hp and 320 Nm of torque.

This setup delivers an estimated 424 km of WLTP range and can charge from 30% to 80% in about 30 minutes with DC fast charging. For those seeking longer driving flexibility, the range-extended electric vehicle (REEV) variant combines a 1.5-litre petrol engine with a 28.4 kWh battery, allowing for extended travel without range anxiety.

Inside, the C10 offers a premium yet minimalist cabin, highlighted by a 14.6-inch infotainment display, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, and optional LiDAR-assisted driver assistance systems. Over-the-air (OTA) updates ensure that the SUV’s software and features remain cutting-edge.

Leapmotor’s partnership with Stellantis has accelerated its entry into Europe, Australia, and other key international markets. Competitive pricing strategies have helped position the C10 as an attractive alternative to rivals such as the Tesla Model Y, Kia EV5, and Volkswagen ID.4. In some markets, promotional incentives have made the C10 one of the most affordable mid-size electric SUVs available.

With its combination of performance, technology, and value, the C10 has emerged as a flagship model for Leapmotor—driving strong sales domestically while serving as a spearhead for the brand’s global ambitions.

Leapmotor’s July 2025 sales record is more than just a statistical milestone—it’s a signal that the brand’s formula of accessible pricing, innovative technology, and international expansion is working.

As demand for the C10 continues to grow and new high-performance variants are introduced, the company appears well-positioned to maintain its leadership in the NEV sector and further expand its global footprint.
