Continental Tires Now Come with Lifetime Manufacturing Warranty

Continental Tyre Malaysia has introduced a new Tyre Lifetime Manufacturing Warranty for all its passenger car, SUV, and 4×4 tyres, further strengthening its commitment to customer assurance and premium product quality. The warranty applies to tyres across the Continental, General Tire, and Viking brands.

This expanded coverage replaces the previous five-year manufacturer’s warranty and now protects drivers for the entire operational lifespan of the tyre. The initiative reflects Continental’s confidence in the durability, engineering precision, and long-term performance of its products, ensuring every tyre is crafted to the highest standards of material quality and workmanship.

“We don’t just build tyres. We build confidence. This warranty is not just a promise; it reflects the rigorous quality control and innovation that goes into everything we make,” said Andrea Somorova, Managing Director of Continental Tyre Malaysia.

The Lifetime Manufacturing Warranty covers manufacturing defects throughout the tyre’s usable life. However, damages resulting from external factors—such as punctures, cuts, or road hazard impacts—are excluded.

Notably, the new warranty is also applied retroactively to all eligible passenger car, SUV, and 4×4 tyres purchased before this announcement, offering long-term peace of mind to existing customers as well.

Complementing this initiative, Continental continues to offer its Total Confidence Plan (TCP) Road Hazard Warranty. When customers register their purchase through the Conti TCP app, they receive 12 months of protection against unexpected road damage.

Continental emphasises that drivers no longer need to be concerned about tyre manufacturing dates, as both the Lifetime Manufacturing Warranty and the TCP Road Hazard Warranty ensure consistent quality, reliability, and safety throughout the tyres’ lifespan—provided they are purchased in Malaysia.

Warranty claims will be evaluated following an inspection by an authorised Continental representative or retailer. Any reimbursement will be prorated based on the remaining tyre tread depth (RTD), ensuring fair and transparent compensation.
