Chery Tiggo Cross

Chery Malaysia is gearing up to launch the Tiggo Cross, an all-new subcompact SUV expected to make waves in the local market with its smart styling, generous equipment, and highly competitive pricing.

Recently previewed at the Malaysia Autoshow 2025, the Tiggo Cross is slated for a local debut next week, and early indications suggest it could become one of the most value-packed offerings in its segment.

As part of Chery’s aggressive product strategy, the Tiggo Cross will be locally assembled (CKD) at the Inokom plant in Kulim, Kedah. This not only brings the price down to under RM100,000 but also ensures good aftersales support and parts availability.

Chery opened early reservations during the Autoshow for RM500, targeting the first 500 customers. Deliveries are expected to begin shortly after the official launch.

While final prices are yet to be confirmed, Chery has hinted at a starting price just above RM80,000, which undercuts many rivals and positions it as a serious alternative to the Proton X50, Perodua Ativa, and Honda WR-V.

Sized to fit urban lifestyles yet roomy enough for families, the Tiggo Cross’ dimensions are as mentioned below:

  • Length: 4,318 mm
  • Width: 1,830 mm
  • Height: 1,665–1,670 mm
  • Wheelbase: 2,610 mm

The Tiggo Cross enters one of the hottest segments in Malaysia — the B-segment crossover SUV. Chery’s decision to offer both turbo and hybrid options under RM100k is rare in this class, potentially disrupting a space currently dominated by the Proton X50, Honda WR-V, and Perodua Ativa.

With its official launch happening next week, the Chery Tiggo Cross is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated budget-friendly SUVs in the country.
