Chery Malaysia Supports National Team at Asian Youth Para Games 2025 in Dubai

Chery Malaysia has officially backed the Malaysian contingent competing at the Asian Youth Para Games 2025 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, running from 7 to 14 December. The team comprises 29 para-athletes across eight sports: Archery, Athletics, Badminton, Boccia, Powerlifting, Swimming, Table Tennis, and Taekwondo.

To support their journey, Chery Malaysia provided a convoy of its vehicles to transport athletes, coaches, and officials from the Malaysia Paralympic Sports Excellence Centre in Kuala Lumpur to KLIA following a flag-off ceremony on 6 December.

The event was attended by key figures, including Jefri Ngadirin, Director General of the National Sports Council of Malaysia (NSC), Dato’ Seri Megat D Shariman Dato’ Zaharudin, President of the Paralympic Association of Malaysia, Cheng Nam Weng, Vice President of Chery Malaysia, and Men Lin Bo, Executive Vice President of Chery Malaysia.

“Para-athletes inspire through their courage and perseverance. At Chery, we see these young athletes as the future of our nation and are proud to support their journey,” said Men Lin Bo.

Jefri Ngadirin expressed appreciation for Chery Malaysia’s support, noting that gestures like these motivate athletes and signal strong community backing.

In addition to transport support, Chery Malaysia is sponsoring RM29,000 and will provide additional rewards for every medal won by Malaysian athletes at the Games.

The Asian Youth Para Games, themed ‘Born to Rise,’ highlights the talent and determination of young para-athletes on an international stage. Malaysia’s participation underscores the nation’s commitment to inclusivity and sporting excellence.

Chery Malaysia’s involvement aligns with the brand’s broader focus on youth development and sports promotion. Earlier initiatives by Chery International, such as partnerships with the Kazakhstan Paralympic Committee and support for the Asian Paralympic Committee Congress, reflect its commitment to fostering global Paralympic engagement and opportunities.
