Following its preview at the Malaysia Autoshow 2025, smart Malaysia has officially opened bookings for the all-new smart #5, expanding its lineup of premium all-electric vehicles.
Customers can secure a unit with a RM2,000 booking fee through either of the following platforms:
- The Hello smart App, available on Apple App Store, Google Play Store, and Huawei App Gallery
- The smart Malaysia website
This multi-platform process offers flexibility for both online and in-person customers.
Available in four colour options for the Premium variant and three for the BRABUS, the smart #5 features a boxy, commanding exterior that reflects its off-road-ready stance.
Inside, the cabin features Nappa leather upholstery covering over 90% of the interior, oak wood trim, and a tie-clip–inspired dashboard design. A 1.7m² panoramic glass roof brightens the space, while a powered sunshade and onboard chiller add comfort.
The interior also includes double-layer acoustic glass, 34 storage compartments, and up to 1,530 litres of rear cargo space, complemented by a 72-litre frunk.
Seats offer multiple bed configurations, front ventilation, and a rear one-touch comfort mode, ensuring flexibility for daily use or road trips.
The smart #5 is equipped with dual 13-inch OLED displays, a 25.6-inch augmented reality head-up display, and an AMD V2000 chipset. Its digital assistant, LEO, powered by ChatGPT, supports voice interaction for navigation, connectivity, and vehicle functions.
The SUV also supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, while a 20-speaker SENNHEISER sound system with Dolby Atmos and a liftable centre speaker with ambient lighting enhance the in-car experience.
The smart #5 recently earned a five-star Euro NCAP safety rating, achieving the highest score among large SUVs tested in 2025. Built with 82% high-strength steel and 42,000Nm torsional rigidity, it includes seven airbags, Smart Pilot Assist, Highway Pilot Assist, and a 360° camera system.
The chassis features a double-wishbone front and multi-link rear suspension, with nine drive modes — five dedicated to off-road conditions.
The smart #5 will be offered in two variants: Premium and BRABUS.
- Premium: Rear-wheel drive, 0–100 km/h in 6.5 seconds, powered by a 100kWh battery offering up to 590km WLTP range. It supports 800V architecture, 22kW AC, and 400kW DC fast charging.
- BRABUS: Dual-motor all-wheel drive, 0–100 km/h in 3.8 seconds, with Launch Mode, BRABUS-tuned drive sound, Dinamica microfibre seats, red brake callipers, and 21-inch BRABUS Monoblock Z wheels.
The all-new smart #5 strengthens smart Malaysia’s position in the growing electric SUV segment, offering a combination of premium design, advanced technology, and performance tailored for both urban and adventurous drivers.
