Chery Malaysia has introduced the new Tiggo Cross Sport Edition, adding a sportier variant to its SUV lineup with a more aggressive exterior while retaining the existing 1.5-litre turbocharged powertrain.
The Tiggo Cross Sport Edition is priced at RM91,800, although an early bird promotional price of RM83,800 is available.
The Sport Edition also comes with seven-year/150,000km vehicle warranty coverage, a seven-year/150,000km engine warranty, and free labour for six scheduled services.
Initially offered exclusively in the Turbo variant, the new Sport Edition can be viewed by the public at IOI City Mall, Putrajaya from 7 to 11 October 2026.
The main difference is its styling, with the Sport Edition gaining sportier front and rear lips that give the SUV a more aggressive, street-focused appearance.
Power comes from a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine paired with a six-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT). It produces 147 PS and 210 Nm of torque, while claimed fuel consumption stands at 6.3 litres/100km.
The Tiggo Cross also features a 51-litre fuel tank, giving it the range needed for both everyday commuting and longer-distance journeys.
Inside, the SUV is equipped with dual-zone climate control, allowing the driver and front passenger to set their preferred temperatures independently. The system is operated through a dedicated touchscreen climate-control panel.
The driver’s seat gets six-way electric adjustment with lumbar support, while ambient lighting adds some visual flair to the cabin.
Infotainment is handled by a 20.5-inch integrated touchscreen display, with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto providing smartphone connectivity.
The system also displays vehicle settings and safety information, while a built-in voice assistant allows users to control selected functions using voice commands.
Other convenience features include a wireless smartphone charger, steering wheel audio controls, multiple USB ports and Bluetooth connectivity.
The Tiggo Cross also comes with functional roof rails, adding practicality for owners who need to carry additional outdoor or travel equipment.
On the safety front, the SUV gets a comprehensive suite of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), including:
- Front Collision Warning (FCW)
- Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB)
- Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)
- Lane Departure Warning (LDW)
- Blind-spot Detection (BSD)
- Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA)
- Intelligent Headlight Control (IHC)
The Tiggo Cross Sport Edition is offered in three exterior colours: Carbon Black, Phantom Grey and Khaki White.
