Honda Malaysia has opened bookings for the New City Hatchback, bringing a refreshed look, upgraded connectivity and additional safety features to its B-segment hatchback.
The booking announcement follows the recent introduction of the New City Sedan, giving Malaysian buyers two City body styles to choose from depending on their preferences and lifestyle.
For the New City Hatchback, the most noticeable changes are found in its exterior styling. The front end has been redesigned across the range with a sharper and more streamlined appearance, while new Connected Headlights give the hatchback a more distinctive look.

The RS variant also gets new 16-inch two-tone alloy wheels finished in Berlina Black and Dark Clear, adding to its sportier appearance.
Inside, Honda has updated the dashboard with a new 3D Pattern Mid Garnish with Ambient Light, giving the cabin a more contemporary feel. The hatchback also gains a larger 10-inch floating Display Audio system for easier access to its infotainment and connectivity functions.

The City Hatchback retains one of its key practical features in the form of Honda’s ULTRA Seats. The system allows the rear seats to be configured in four different ways, offering greater flexibility when carrying passengers or larger items.
At the top of the range, the New City Hatchback continues with Honda’s 1.5-litre e hybrid powertrain. The system produces 109PS and 253Nm of torque, with Honda claiming the latter as class-leading.

Honda Malaysia is also offering a 10-year warranty on the hybrid battery and components with unlimited mileage, giving buyers additional coverage for the hybrid system.
Safety has received a significant upgrade as well. The New City Hatchback now comes with a 360-degree Multi-View Camera System as standard, providing drivers with a wider view around the car when manoeuvring or parking.
The hatchback also gains Blind Spot Information and Cross Traffic Monitoring. These systems are designed to alert the driver to vehicles approaching from areas that may not be immediately visible, particularly when changing lanes or reversing out of parking spaces.
The latest City Hatchback also benefits from Honda Malaysia’s new extended warranty programme. Introduced on 1 September 2026, the programme provides buyers of new Honda petrol and hybrid models with up to eight years of warranty coverage with unlimited mileage, subject to the applicable terms and conditions.
Honda Malaysia has yet to reveal the full specifications, variant structure and pricing of the New City Hatchback. More details are expected when the model is officially launched. Bookings are now open at Honda Malaysia dealerships nationwide.
