Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has unveiled the new Mercedes-AMG GT 63 PRO 4MATIC+ Coupé and previewed the all-new Mercedes-AMG GT 63 4-Door Coupé in conjunction with the return of Formula 1 to Malaysia.
The two models showcase two different approaches to AMG performance. The GT 63 PRO continues with a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8, while the new GT 63 4-Door Coupé brings AMG’s latest high-performance electric technology with up to 1,169 hp and 2,000 Nm.
Mercedes-AMG GT 63 PRO: 612 hp and 850 Nm
The new Mercedes-AMG GT 63 PRO 4MATIC+ Coupé is powered by a 4.0-litre V8 biturbo engine producing 450 kW (612 hp) and 850 Nm. Power is sent through an AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 9G transmission to the fully variable AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel-drive system.

The GT 63 PRO accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 3.2 seconds, reaches 200 km/h in 10.9 seconds and has a top speed of 317 km/h. Compared with the standard AMG GT 63, the PRO gains 20 kW (27 hp) and 50 Nm. Mercedes-AMG has also upgraded its cooling system, aerodynamics, brakes and chassis to improve performance during demanding track driving.
The cooling system now features additional radiators positioned in the front wheel arches, while the front and rear differential cooling circuits and transfer case are also actively cooled.

Aerodynamic changes include a revised front apron, carbon-fibre air deflectors, an active underbody aerodynamic profile and a fixed rear wing. Mercedes-AMG says the changes reduce front-axle aerodynamic lift by more than 30 kg, while the rear wing generates around 15 kg more downforce.
The braking system uses AMG ceramic high-performance composite brakes with six-piston fixed callipers at the front and 420 mm discs.
Inside, the GT 63 PRO gets AMG Performance seats in Nappa leather and MICROCUT microfibre, carbon-fibre trim, an AMG Performance steering wheel and yellow seat belts. The cabin also features a 12.3-inch driver display, 11.9-inch central display, head-up display and MBUX Augmented Reality navigation.

The AMG TRACK PACE system is also included for owners who intend to take the car to the circuit. That being said, the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 PRO 4MATIC+ Coupé is estimated from RM2,088,888 in Peninsular Malaysia.
A limited Motorsport Collectors Edition, based on the GT 63 PRO, is limited to 200 units globally and is estimated from RM2,588,888 in Malaysia. It adds PETRONAS-inspired exterior details, special forged wheels and additional AMG carbon-fibre and aerodynamic components.
Mercedes-AMG GT 63 4-Door Coupé: 1,169 hp and 2,000 Nm
The all-new Mercedes-AMG GT 63 4-Door Coupé takes AMG into a new electric performance era with the brand’s AMG.EA architecture. It uses three axial-flux electric motors producing up to 860 kW (1,169 hp) and 2,000 Nm of torque.
The performance EV can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 2.4 seconds and has a top speed of 260 km/h. Its 106 kWh usable battery uses an 800-volt electrical architecture and directly cooled cylindrical cells. The car supports DC charging at up to 350 kW, with a claimed 10-80% charging time of just 16 minutes under suitable conditions.

WLTP electric range is rated at up to 697 km, with energy consumption of between 17.9 and 20.9 kWh/100 km. AMG has also developed the electric powertrain around sustained performance rather than simply peak output. The battery’s direct cell cooling and high-voltage architecture are designed to maintain performance during repeated high-load driving.
The GT 63 4-Door Coupé also introduces AMGFORCE S+, which digitally recreates the character of a V8 through simulated gear changes, engine sounds and other audio effects. The system uses more than 1,600 sound files and adapts the experience according to driving conditions.
Chassis technology includes AMG ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL air suspension with semi-active roll stabilisation, active rear-axle steering with up to 6 degrees of steering angle, and fully variable AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive.

The rear-wheel steering operates in opposite directions to the front wheels at speeds up to 80 km/h for improved agility, before switching to the same direction at higher speeds to enhance stability.
Aerodynamic features include an active AEROKINETICS rear diffuser, deployable underbody elements, an adaptive rear spoiler and active air-management systems.
Inside, the electric AMG gets a 10.2-inch instrument display and 14-inch central multimedia display, alongside a separate 14-inch passenger display. Other features include AMG Performance seats, carbon-fibre trim, a panoramic SKY CONTROL roof, Burmester 3D Surround Sound and AMG Track Pace.

The Malaysian specification also includes MB.DRIVE ASSIST, a 360-degree camera, Blind Spot Assist, DISTRONIC, PARKTRONIC and GUARD 360° vehicle protection.
The Mercedes-AMG GT 63 4-Door Coupé is estimated from RM1.29 million in Peninsular Malaysia.
With the GT 63 PRO, Mercedes-AMG continues to offer a traditional V8-powered performance flagship, while the GT 63 4-Door Coupé demonstrates how the brand is transferring its performance philosophy to electric propulsion.
