smart Malaysia has expanded its flagship electric SUV lineup with the introduction of the limited-edition smart #5 BRABUS Laser Red Edition, giving buyers a more exclusive take on the brand’s performance-focused EV.
Priced at RM259,800, the special edition retains the same specifications and equipment as the standard smart #5 BRABUS, with the standout difference being its striking Laser Red exterior finish. Meanwhile, the smart #5 Premium continues to be offered at RM209,800.
The new colour option will be available in limited numbers, targeting customers looking for a more distinctive appearance without compromising on performance or technology.
Under the skin, the smart #5 BRABUS Laser Red Edition is unchanged. It features a dual-motor all-wheel-drive powertrain producing 646 PS (475 kW) and 710 Nm of torque, enabling the SUV to sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds.
Drivers also get the exclusive BRABUS driving mode, while the cabin continues to offer premium Alcantara and Dinamica upholstery alongside BRABUS-specific styling elements.
Technology remains one of the smart #5 BRABUS’ biggest selling points. It is equipped with an advanced digital cockpit powered by an AMD V2000 chipset, complemented by a comprehensive suite of advanced driver assistance and safety systems.
According to PRO-NET Chief Executive Officer Zhang Qiang, the new Laser Red Edition offers customers a more expressive way to experience the highest-performing model in the smart range, with its limited production adding to its exclusivity.
The vivid Laser Red paintwork enhances the SUV’s muscular design and sporty character, ensuring it stands out whether in urban environments or on longer road trips.
