Porsche Cayenne Coupé Electric Debuts With 1,156 PS

Porsche Cayenne Coupe Electric

The all-new Porsche Cayenne Coupé Electric has made its world premiere at Auto China 2026, introducing a more emotive, performance-focused take on Porsche’s flagship SUV—now fully electric.

Drawing clear inspiration from the iconic Porsche 911, the Coupé adopts the brand’s signature “flyline” roof profile, delivering a sleeker silhouette while reinforcing its sporting intent.

Compared to the standard SUV, the Coupé features a bespoke windscreen and a more aggressively sloped roofline, culminating in a cleaner rear design with a flush-mounted glass surface and an integrated adaptive spoiler.

The streamlined body isn’t just for aesthetics. With a drag coefficient of just 0.23 (versus 0.25 for the SUV), the Cayenne Coupé Electric benefits from improved aerodynamic efficiency, translating into a WLTP range of up to 669 km—an increase of up to 18 km over its SUV sibling. Active aerodynamic elements, including adjustable cooling flaps and a variable rear spoiler, further optimise airflow.

Despite its more dynamic profile, the Coupé retains identical length and width as the SUV at 4,985 mm and 1,980 mm respectively, but sits 24 mm lower at 1,650 mm. Practicality remains intact, with up to 1,347 litres of rear cargo space and an additional 90-litre front trunk. Buyers can choose between a two-seat rear layout or a 2+1 configuration, both featuring electrically adjustable seating.

Notably, the Cayenne Coupé Electric continues to offer up to 3.5 tonnes of towing capacity, alongside an optional off-road package—underscoring its versatility beyond urban duties.

Up to 1,156 PS: three variants at launch

At launch, three variants will be available, mirroring the SUV lineup:

  • Cayenne Coupé Electric: 408 PS (442 PS overboost), 0–100 km/h in 4.8 seconds, top speed 230 km/h
  • Cayenne S Coupé Electric: 544 PS (666 PS overboost), 0–100 km/h in 3.8 seconds, top speed 250 km/h
  • Cayenne Turbo Coupé Electric: 857 PS (1,156 PS overboost), 0–100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds, top speed 260 km/h

All variants come standard with adaptive air suspension and Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), while the more advanced Porsche Active Ride system is optionally available on higher trims. Rear-axle steering (up to five degrees) is also offered across the range.

Built on an 800-volt architecture, the Cayenne Coupé Electric supports DC fast charging at up to 390 kW—and up to 400 kW under ideal conditions—enabling rapid replenishment. AC charging is rated at 11 kW as standard, with a 22 kW onboard charger offered as an option.

Inside, the model adopts the latest Porsche Driver Experience interface, featuring a fully digital instrument cluster, central “Flow Display”, optional passenger display, and an available augmented reality head-up display. The system supports deep personalisation, third-party app integration, and a mix of digital and physical controls.

Standard kit is already generous, with highlights including a panoramic glass roof (optionally with Variable Light Control) and the Sport Chrono Package. For those seeking sharper dynamics, a Coupé-exclusive Lightweight Sport package reduces weight by up to 17.6 kg.

This package adds a carbon fibre roof, bespoke 22-inch wheels, high-performance tyres, and interior upgrades such as Pepita cloth सीट centres, Race-Tex headliner, and open-pore carbon trim. It can also be paired with black leather upholstery and a 2+1 seating configuration.
