Volvo Car Malaysia has rebranded its aftersales assurance initiative as the Volvo Genuine Parts Extended Warranty programme, offering customers lifetime coverage at no additional cost for all Volvo Genuine Parts installed at authorised Volvo dealerships nationwide.
This upgraded programme is designed specifically for owners whose vehicles are no longer covered by the standard manufacturer’s warranty. It reinforces Volvo’s long-standing commitment to product quality, customer satisfaction, and reducing long-term ownership costs by ensuring every eligible replacement part is guaranteed for life.

Unlike the standard vehicle warranty provided with new purchases, the Volvo Genuine Parts Extended Warranty provides lifetime protection — including labour costs — for all qualifying Volvo Genuine Parts installed by authorised dealers. The programme aims to deliver worry-free ownership with genuine quality assurance from Volvo.
Key customer benefits include:
- Lifetime warranty on Volvo Genuine Parts against material or workmanship defects
- Labour costs fully covered when repairs are performed at authorised Volvo service centres
- No additional cost beyond the original part and installation
The warranty applies to all Volvo Genuine Parts except for wholesale or over-the-counter purchases, consumables, batteries, accessories, and wear-and-tear items. Covered parts can be replaced an unlimited number of times (subject to the stated exclusions).
In addition, the programme extends coverage to remanufactured Volvo Genuine Parts sold and installed through authorised dealerships. If a covered component fails and causes another eligible part to malfunction, Volvo will also replace the affected parts at no charge.

For owners travelling abroad, parts replaced by authorised Volvo workshops in other participating countries are also covered, ensuring peace of mind across borders.
To qualify, customers must meet the following conditions:
- Parts must be purchased and installed on or after 1 October 2021
- Installation must be carried out by an authorised Volvo dealership
- A valid, dated invoice or receipt bearing the current vehicle owner’s legal name is required
- The warranty applies only during the same ownership period and is non-transferable
- Parts must be paid in full (not replaced under the vehicle’s standard new car warranty)
If a vehicle has not been serviced at an authorised Volvo centre for more than two years after the standard warranty expires, it must undergo a health check at the owner’s expense to ensure the vehicle remains in good condition and has not been modified or tampered with.
Ongoing eligibility also depends on the vehicle being regularly serviced and maintained within Volvo’s authorised service network.
With this initiative, Volvo Car Malaysia aims to set benchmarks in the premium automotive aftersales segment, delivering a seamless ownership experience built on safety, reliability, and transparency — values that remain central to the Volvo brand.
