MG Motor Malaysia has announced new pricing for the MG4 electric hatchback, making the model more affordable. The MG4 Lux is now priced at RM100,888, the MG4 Lux Extended at RM128,888, and the high-performance MG4 XPower at RM138,888. The revised prices represent savings of over RM28,000.
Previously, the MG4 Lux was priced at RM128,888, the MG4 Lux Extended at RM156,888, and the MG4 XPower at RM166,888. With the new adjustments, customers now enjoy reductions of RM28,000 across the lineup, bringing the MG4 into a more competitive position in the Malaysian EV market.
The MG4 range caters to different needs: the MG4 Lux focuses on practicality, the MG4 Lux Extended offers a longer driving range, and the MG4 XPower delivers higher performance. All variants maintain a rear-wheel-drive setup, a unique offering in its segment.
Each MG4 comes with a complimentary 7kW AC wallbox charger or charging credits. Customers receive savings worth up to RM10,000 for the MG4 XPower and Lux Extended, and up to RM7,000 for the MG4 Lux.
Warranty coverage includes seven years or 150,000 km for the vehicle, eight years or 180,000 km for the high-voltage battery, and eight years or 160,000 km for the drive motor and motor control unit.
MG has also introduced a promotion for the MGS5 EV. Buyers will benefit from the Ultimate Ownership Package, with savings of up to RM10,000, including either a complimentary 7kW AC wallbox charger or charging credits.
The MGS5 EV features a Horizontal Battery Layout that maximises cabin space while keeping a low centre of gravity. Its adaptive pressure control system reduces battery cell expansion, enhancing both safety and durability.
Two variants are available: COM and LUX. The COM variant can be equipped with a 49kWh battery (up to 340 km WLTP range) or a 62kWh battery (up to 430 km). The LUX variant comes with the 62kWh battery, capable of up to 425 km. All models deliver 170 PS and 250 Nm of torque with rear-wheel drive. Prices start from RM115,900.
For customers who prefer petrol-powered options, MG is offering cash rebates of up to RM12,000 on the MG HS and up to RM8,000 on the MG5. Buyers can also opt for six months of free instalments with an additional cash rebate.
