iCAUR Malaysia has officially launched the iCAUR 03, its first model for the local market and the brand’s global debut vehicle.
Positioned as Malaysia’s first fully electric off-road capable SUV, the C-segment model introduces a new category of adventure-focused battery electric vehicles (BEVs).
Measuring 4,406 mm long, 1,910 mm wide, and 1,715 mm high with a 2,715 mm wheelbase, the iCAUR 03 combines compact dimensions with a rugged stance. Its short overhangs deliver a 28-degree approach angle, a 32-degree departure angle, and a 55% gradeability rating.
The SUV is built on a first-in-segment aluminium monocoque body with anti-corrosion protection for up to 30 years and 31,882 Nm torsional rigidity. Safety is further enhanced with the iCARE system, which includes a 4-layer IPX8 battery armour system featuring reinforced aluminium protection.
Two powertrain options are offered. The rear-wheel drive (2WD) version produces 184 PS and 220 Nm of torque from a single motor paired with a 65.7 kWh LFP battery, delivering 426 km of range (NEDC).
The Intelligent Wheel Drive (iWD) variant uses a dual-motor setup with 279 PS and 385 Nm, supported by a 69.8 kWh battery offering 418 km of range (NEDC). Both variants support 80 kW DC fast charging, 6.6 kW AC charging, and a 3.2 kW Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) function.
Standard equipment includes six airbags, a Level 2 ADAS suite with features such as Autonomous Emergency Braking, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Departure Prevention, and Blindspot Detection. Convenience features include a 540-degree camera system, wireless charging, tyre pressure monitoring, and NFC access.
Inside, the iCAUR 03 comes with a 15.6-inch touchscreen powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 processor, a 9.2-inch instrument cluster, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a 12-speaker Infinity audio system on the iWD variant.
Seating features include ventilation for both rows, massage functionality for front occupants (iWD only), and a 450-litre boot expandable to 1,238 litres.
The SUV is priced at RM119,800 for the 2WD and RM129,800 for the iWD, with an additional RM20,000 for the Black Phantom Edition. Early bird customers booking by 17 September 2025 will receive one year of unlimited charging via the JomCharge network, a complimentary Wallbox charger, and a lifestyle package valued at RM3,000.
Ownership benefits include a 7-year/150,000 km vehicle warranty, 8-year/160,000 km battery and drive unit warranty, and a one-to-one battery replacement guarantee if capacity drops below 70%.
iCAUR has also partnered with Allianz, Berjaya Sompo, AIG, Etiqa, and Zurich for its iCARE Insurance Programme, which covers EV chargers and cables and provides unlimited towing.
Initially available as a fully built-up import, the iCAUR 03 will enter local production at Chery Corporate Malaysia’s Shah Alam plant in January 2026. The company also plans to expand to 18 sales outlets and nine service centres nationwide by September 2025, including branches in Sabah and Sarawak.
