Zeekr Intelligent Technology (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd has officially introduced the Zeekr 7X at a launch event held at KL Tower recently, marking the brand’s third model in Malaysia. The premium electric SUV enters the market with three variants: RWD Standard, RWD Long Range, and AWD Performance.
The 7X is built on an 800V architecture system, enabling ultra-fast charging at speeds of up to 450kW. Performance highlights include a 0–100km/h sprint in 3.8 seconds for the AWD model.
Range figures vary across the lineup, with the RWD Standard offering 480km (WLTP) from a 75kWh battery, the RWD Long Range extending to 615km with a 100kWh battery, and the AWD Performance delivering 475kW and 710Nm through dual motors.
Designed in Gothenburg by Stefan Sielaff, the 7X adopts Zeekr’s “Hidden Energy” design language. Key exterior features include a frameless door design, floating roofline, and the brand’s signature Stargate Integrated Smart Light Curtain, a 93-inch LED strip claimed to be the largest of its kind. Inside, the SUV incorporates ripple-effect ambient lighting across 11 zones with 256 colours.
Interior equipment varies by trim. The AWD Performance features Nappa leather seats with massage and ventilation, powered rear recline adjustment, and an expansive 1.84m² panoramic sunroof.
Across all variants, passengers benefit from powered seating, rear window sunshades, and extensive storage solutions. A 36-inch AR head-up display, 16-inch central screen, and Qualcomm 8295 computing platform underpin the digital cockpit, supported by a 21-speaker, 2160W Zeekr Sound Pro audio system.
Safety remains a central focus. The 7X carries a five-star Euro NCAP rating and incorporates a dome-shaped body with ultra-high-strength steel, single-piece die-cast aluminium rear body, and hot-formed pipe beams to improve rigidity.
The battery system is equipped with Non-Thermal Propagation technology and a 10-grid shield to prevent fire or side-impact damage.
Advanced driver assistance technologies (ADAS) include adaptive cruise control, automatic lane change with turn signal input, lane keeping assist, blind spot detection, and automated parking. The model is also the first EV globally to be certified for dual electromagnetic safety, aimed at reducing exposure to EM radiation.
Alex Bao, Managing Director of Zeekr Southeast Asia, revealed that the company has secured over 1,000 bookings since May 2025. “We are committed to completing as many deliveries as possible and ensuring each vehicle meets the highest standards of excellence,” he said.
The Zeekr 7X is priced at RM179,800 for the RWD Standard, RM190,800 for the RWD Long Range, and RM226,800 for the AWD Performance. Each purchase includes a 22kW wallbox charger and solar tinting.
Colour options include Crystal White, Onyx Black, Tech Grey, and Forest Green, while the AWD Performance adds an exclusive Brook Blue with a silver roof, along with a Purple and White interior. A 21-inch forged wheel option is also available at extra cost.
With its combination of high performance, luxury-focused design, and advanced safety systems, the Zeekr 7X is positioned to compete in Malaysia’s growing premium EV market.
