Zeekr Group, a global leader in premium new energy vehicles (NEVs) and a subsidiary of Geely Holding, has officially launched its National Sales Company (NSC) in Malaysia, named Zeekr Intelligent Technology (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd. This move marks a pivotal step in Zeekr’s regional growth strategy, underscoring its long-term ambitions in Southeast Asia.
The formation of the NSC will enable Zeekr to directly manage its wholesale operations, dealer development, branding initiatives, marketing efforts, and aftersales support across Malaysia.
“We recently celebrated a major milestone with the global production of our 500,000th vehicle as of June,” said Alex Bao, Managing Director of Zeekr Southeast Asia. “Having expanded to over 40 countries and regions, Malaysia stands out as a key market in our Southeast Asian expansion. We’re investing considerable resources to build a sustainable and impactful presence here.”
Bao highlighted that the NSC’s establishment is crucial to deepening Zeekr’s relationship with Malaysian customers. “This initiative allows us to better understand local needs, tailor our services, and deliver greater value. Our long-term strategy focuses on three core areas: expanding our retail network, enhancing aftersales services, and increasing marketing investment.”
Zeekr currently operates two showrooms in Malaysia — one in Petaling Jaya and another in IOI Mall Puchong. With the support of local importer and dealer Sentinel Automotive Sdn Bhd, alongside partners such as Preeminent Auto and Carro, Zeekr plans to launch eight new authorized showrooms in the following locations:
- Bandar Sunway – Opening by July 2025
- Jalan Yap Kwan Seng, Kuala Lumpur – By July 2025
- Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur – By Q3 2025
- Skudai, Johor Bahru – By Q3 2025
- Penang – By Q3 2025
- Seremban – By Q4 2025
- Melaka – By Q4 2025
- Ipoh – By Q4 2025
In tandem with its retail expansion, Zeekr is placing strong emphasis on customer satisfaction. Three official Zeekr Service Centres will be launched in Bandar Sunway, Penang, and Johor Bahru by 2025. These centres will offer dedicated aftersales support, including Genuine Zeekr Parts and Zeekr Service, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to premium quality and reliability.
Zeekr Intelligent Technology (Malaysia) is also actively inviting potential business partners and dealership candidates in strategic areas such as Cheras, Kuantan, Tebrau (Johor Bahru), Kuching, and Kota Kinabalu.
