Bermaz Xpeng Sdn Bhd, the sole distributor of XPENG vehicles in Malaysia, has officially launched the New XPENG G6 Ultra Smart Coupe SUV. First introduced locally in August 2024, the refreshed G6 arrives with updated features, smarter technology, and improved performance.
The SUV is fully imported (CBU) from China and is now open for booking nationwide.
The New XPENG G6 is available in three variants:
- RWD Long Range Pro – RM178,888
- AWD Performance – RM189,888
- AWD Black Edition – RM193,888
Design and Exterior Enhancements
The new G6 adopts a sharper and more refined exterior profile. A full-width Starlight Wing LED light bar with integrated turn signals improves visibility, while a redesigned rear diffuser optimises airflow.
The bonnet now carries a matte grey XPENG logo, paired with body-coloured wheel arches for a more seamless finish. A new “Ducktail” rear design enhances stability and gives the SUV a sportier stance.
Customers can choose from five exterior colours — Arctic White, Graphite Gray, Midnight Black, Silver Frost, and Stellar Purple. The flagship Black Edition, exclusive to the AWD Performance variant, adds gloss black 20-inch alloy wheels, black brake calipers, and a darkened XPENG logo for a more aggressive look.
Redesigned Interior
Inside, the New XPENG G6 features a completely reworked cabin with the “Super Star-Ring Interior Design,” covering 60% of the interior. It brings in a modern dashboard layout, ambient lighting, and a capacitive steering wheel. Two colour themes — Dark Gray and Light Gray — are available across all variants.
Space remains one of the G6’s strongest points, offering class-leading headroom and legroom complemented by a panoramic sunroof. Comfort features include front seats with massage, heating, ventilation, and lumbar support, while rear passengers benefit from 12-level reclining seats for a lounge-like experience.
Powertrain and Charging
The G6 runs on XPENG’s next-generation 800V SiC high-voltage platform with upgraded Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) batteries — the first in the industry to adopt 5C charging capability. The Long Range Pro and AWD Performance models use an 80.5 kWh LFP pack, which replaces the older 87.5 kWh lithium-ion battery.
The result is exceptional charging speed. With peak charging power of up to 451 kW, the G6 can recharge from 10% to 80% in just 12 minutes, the fastest in its class. Driving range is up to 525 km (WLTP), making it suitable for both city commutes and longer journeys.
Technology and Safety
XPENG has fitted the G6 with an advanced intelligent driving suite, supported by a high-performance driving chip and MicroFiber capacitive steering wheel. Features include adaptive cruise control, lane keeping, and automated parking.
The SUV also benefits from a reinforced safety structure and what XPENG describes as a bulletproof-grade battery casing. Capable of withstanding temperatures up to 1,000°C and side pressure of 80 tonnes, the battery’s durability has been extended by 30%.
On the technology front, the upgraded cockpit delivers smoother operation and faster connectivity. A large central screen, AI-powered voice assistant, and full smartphone integration ensure the cabin is as digital as it is comfortable.
Warranty and Ownership
The New XPENG G6 comes with a comprehensive warranty package:
- 5-year manufacturer warranty or 120,000 km
- 5-year free service and maintenance or 100,000 km
- 8-year high-voltage battery warranty or 160,000 km
The launch of the G6 marks another step in XPENG’s expansion in Malaysia. As the brand continues to push forward with AI-driven mobility, the G6 sets a benchmark in design, performance, and charging technology for the local EV market.
