Volvo Trucks on the other hand wants to be your partner from the point of sale right to being involved with your truck drivers. Yes, Volvo Trucks wants to train your drivers, assist them to better understand the trucks they are driving and even motivate the drivers to care for the trucks and the transport business by taking into consideration running costs. This means learning to drive the truck without stressing parts and saving fuel which is a constant challenge for logistics operators as fuel prices keep rising.

This is why Volvo Trucks has the global Fuelwatch challenge for all their markets and it has been running for 11 years where more than 15,000 drivers have already participated. For Malaysia it has been running for 7 successful years already.

The Fuelwatch challenge has 2 categories. There is the on road category and also an off-road category.

Last years winner for on road was New Zealand female drive, Ms. Louise Marriot and for the off-road category it was Mr. Ravi from India.

So why have the Fuelwatch challenge? Well Volvo Trucks is looking at the reducing global Co2 emissions to start and saving fuel also works for keeping running costs down.
